Google Slides - How to / Tips / Tricks
If prompted, login to your google account
Once you are logged in, click + New in the top left corner of your screen
Choose Google Slides
Name your presentation - Create your slides
If prompted, login to your google account
Once you are logged in, click + New in the top left corner of your screen
Choose File Upload
Find your PowerPoint file and upload it.
**Sometimes the formatting gets messed up a bit. Don't forget to check your slides after they have been uploaded to make sure they look and work how you want them to.
If prompted, login to your YouTube account
Click + Create in the top right corner of your screen
Choose Upload Video
Add your video
Change the title if needed - scroll down to the bottom
Choose the toggle button for "No, it's not 'Made for Kids' " - Click Next
Click Next again
Click Next again
Choose the toggle button for "Unlisted" - Click Save (It is important that you choose unlisted and NOT private so that anyone with the link can play your video.
Copy the Video Link
If prompted, login to your google account
Once you are logged in, click + New in the top left corner of your screen, Choose Google Slides
Name your presentation
On the first (and only slide), choose Insert from the Menu Bar at the top of the screen.
Choose Video from the drop down list
With the YouTube tab selected (default), paste your YouTube link and hit enter
Select your video - Click Insert
Resize the video to fill the slide
Follow the instructions for sharing the slide with Communications
